Graded high-silica sand
by SandCoThe chemical composition
The chemical composition of the sand from the Kariernoe sand quarry contains SiO2 levels ranging from 96.22% to 98.52%, iron oxide between 0.07% and 0.12% (typically no more than 0.05%), titanium oxide from 0.02% to 0.032%, and magnesium oxide up to 0.50%.
Microfracture resistant
Ideal for filter applications due to its high strength.
Purified
The silica sand undergoes a washing process after screening to ensure additional filtration.
How is fractionated silica sand produced?
First, silica sand is extracted from the quarry using open-pit mining methods.
The raw material is then transported to the production facility, where it is cleaned by separating the sand from clay on inertial screens. Our quarry is renowned for high-quality ore that retains its strength throughout the cleaning process, preventing the formation of microcracks.
Before reaching the market, the sand undergoes strict quality control checks in the company’s laboratory. Once approved, the final product is packaged and shipped to customers.
The production process is environmentally friendly, utilizing magnetic separation technology that meets European standards, alongside electric-powered drying ovens that produce no harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
