Widely used as a filler for pool filters, this sand is also utilized for cleaning petroleum products, pool water, and industrial effluents. Medium-grained fractions are applied in landscape design, including for football fields. The fraction 1.0-3.0 mm is often used in the production of high-end dry construction mixes and self-leveling floors.
